Basketball Recap: Galax Takes a Loss

Galax was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-51 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bland County Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-40 two weeks ago.

Galax's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Bland County, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Galax will head out to take on Auburn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bland County, they will take on Grayson County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
