Volleyball Recap: Centerville Starts Season with Loss at Home

Centerville unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Belt Huskies on Thursday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-18, 25-17.

Livy Lorang paced Centerville's offense, picking up two kills. Lorang got some help from Allison Caldwell and her two assists. Finally, Olivia Kunkel kept Centerville's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Destinee Goodman had a dynamite game For Belt., getting 22 digs and six assists.

Centerville is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Fort Benton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Belt, they have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Harlowton on the 30th.
