Football Recap: Olean Has No Trouble Against Albion

Olean was handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Albion on Friday. The Huskies put the hurt on the Purple Eagles with a sharp 32-8 win. The Huskies' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Joe Mest, who threw for 299 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.0 yards per attempt. What's more, he racked up 148.1 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Mykel Rivera was another key player, picking up 167 receiving yards and one score.

The victory got Olean back to even at 2-2. As for Albion, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Olean will face off against East Aurora/Holland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. As for Albion, they will head out on the road to take on Depew at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
