Football Recap: Kyle Weaver and Glenn Brown Pace University Defense

University fell victim to Morgantown and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Mohigans, falling 21-0. That makes it the first time this season the Hawks have let down their home crowd.

University didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kyle Weaver and Glenn Brown.

University's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Morgantown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.

University will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Parkersburg at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Hawks will be up against the Big Reds' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.7 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Morgantown, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-0 victory against Musselman on the 7th.
