Basketball Recap: Germantown Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Germantown won the last time they faced Ridgeland and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Germantown Mavericks came out on top against the Ridgeland Titans by a score of 61-54.

Germantown had a senior duo take command as Julia Glasgow went 6 of 10 on her way to 14 points in addition to seven boards and six assists and Charlie Gamberine went 5 for 11 on her way to 17 points and five assists. The dominant performance gave Gamberine a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayla Benson, who posted 13 points.

Germantown is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Ridgeland, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Germantown will look to defend their home court on Friday against Callaway at 6:00 p.m. As for Ridgeland, they will head out to take on Yazoo County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
