Basketball Recap: Lakeland Takes a Loss

Lakeland fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Weaubleau on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 69-61 to the Weaubleau Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-35 back in January.

Defeat or not, Lakeland got some senior leadership from Caleb Glaum and Logan Moran. Glaum en route to 23 points, while Moran dropped a double-double with 18 points and 13 boards. The matchup was Moran's fourth in a row with at least 17 points. Vince Gonzalez was another key player, putting up 12 points and five assists.

Lakeland's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Weaubleau, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Lakeland nor Weaubleau have any future games scheduled.
