Soccer Recap: Pinecrest Academy's Undefeated Season over After 17 Games

If Pinecrest Academy was feeling good fresh off their 9-1 takedown of East Forsyth last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Paladins took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buford Wolves on Monday. The loss was Pinecrest Academy's first of the season.

Fia Del Balzo and Anna Broderson scored both of Pinecrest Academy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 35 goals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pinecrest Academy fell to 16-1. As for Buford, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 16-0.

Coming up, Pinecrest Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Norcross at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pinecrest Academy's defense better be ready for this one: Norcross have averaged an impressive 2.5 goals per game this season. As for Buford, they are taking a road trip to take on Lambert at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lambert will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Buford surely won't give up without a fight.
