Basketball Game Preview: Clinton River Kings vs. Bettendorf Bulldogs

Clinton hasn't had much luck against Bettendorf recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Clinton River Kings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bettendorf Bulldogs. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Clinton is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 35th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-61 heartbreaker at the hands of Davenport Central. One positive for the River Kings, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Bettendorf entered their game against North Scott on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Bettendorf took a 60-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Scott. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Bettendorf's loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-5. As for Clinton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.
