Minatare hadn't done well against Leyton recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Indians skirted past the Warriors 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted against the Warriors since October 20, 2020.

Minatare had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-16, 25-18.

Madeleine Ramirez-Camargo paced Minatare's offense, picking up ten kills. Ramirez-Camargo got some help from Zoe Pedotto and her nine assists. Finally, Liyah Janis kept Minatare's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Minatare's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-13. As for Leyton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

Minatare didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Hay Springs on the 16th. As for Leyton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Creek Valley on the 14th.
