Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Timpson). They couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 64-4 blowout they got against the Waskom Wildcats. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Timpson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cayt Jackson, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine steals. Those 15 points gave Jackson a new career-high. Taylor Stewart was another key player, putting up nine points and eight steals.

Timpson is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-12 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 39.3 points. As for Waskom, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Timpson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-15 victory against Elysian Fields on the 7th. As for Waskom, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 49-20 loss against Beckville on the 7th.
