Bishop O'Connell came tearing into Monday's match with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.1 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-7 back in March.

Shota Fogus looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jack Woda, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Connolly, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Bishop O'Connell pushed their record up to 20-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.43 runs across that stretch. As for Our Lady of Good Counsel, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-10 record this season.
