Baseball Game Preview: Vanlue Wildcats vs. Crestline Bulldogs

The Vanlue Wildcats will head out to challenge the Crestline Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Vanlue comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Vanlue lost 15-3 to Ridgedale on Saturday.

Landen Hansen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases and one run. That run marked the first that he has scored this season. Jasper Musgrave was another key player, earning one run and three stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Crestline fell victim to Elgin and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Comets, falling 7-0. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Crestline's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Vanlue, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-18.

Vanlue suffered a grim 13-1 defeat to Crestline in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
