Basketball Game Preview: Bastrop Rams vs. Wossman Wildcats

Bastrop hasn't had much luck against Wossman recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Bastrop Rams will get right back to it and host the Wossman Wildcats at 7:40 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Bastrop's tournament run continued when they took on Carroll on Friday. Bastrop took a 65-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Carroll.

Meanwhile, Wossman had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.1 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They walked away with a 67-55 win over the Bulldogs.

Wossman pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.6 points per game. As for Bastrop, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

Bastrop took a serious blow against Wossman in their previous meeting back in February, falling 83-27. Can Bastrop avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
