Baseball Recap: Berkeley Springs Comes Up Short

Berkeley Springs was the 16-15 winner over Mountain Ridge when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians fell just short of the Miners by a score of 9-8 on Monday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Conner Maconaughey stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and four RBI. Shawn Mccumbee was another key player, going 1-for-4 with five stolen bases and two runs.

Berkeley Springs' loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Mountain Ridge, their record is now 4-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berkeley Springs will take on Hancock at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mountain Ridge, they will square off against Hampshire at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
