Basketball Recap: Mounds View Takes a Loss

Mounds View lost against Cretin-Derham Hall back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mounds View Mustangs took a 78-61 bruising from the Cretin-Derham Hall Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Raiders are ranked fourth).

Mounds View's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Cretin-Derham Hall, their win was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-1.

Coming up, Mounds View will venture away from home to square off against Irondale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mounds View is facing Irondale at the right time seeing as Irondale is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Cretin-Derham Hall, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stillwater at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
