Baseball Recap: Fleming County Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Fleming County faced off against Boyd County on Tuesday. The Panthers fell 5-1 to the Lions. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost four in a row.

Fleming County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Preston Cropper, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Fleming County now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Boyd County, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

Fleming County and Boyd County should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings. The Panthers (ranked 109th) will meet Menifee County (ranked 243rd) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Boyd County will face off against Blazer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (26 vs. 151).
