Basketball Recap: Glenburn Comes Up Short

Glenburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 25th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] Cougars 79-42. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panther of the 83-27 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Glenburn's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky], the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glenburn will square off against Tioga at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky], they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on White Shield at 7:30 p.m. on January 14th.
