The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Crest in their matchups with East Rutherford: they've now lost eight in a row.

Several Chargers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nevaeh Blackwell, who scored ten points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was De'kaylia Davis, who scored six points.

East Rutherford's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kadence Vanover, who scored 15 points. Crest will challenge Ashbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ashbrook will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 441st, while Crest is ranked 180th). As for East Rutherford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chase at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Chase comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
