Basketball Preview: Quanah Indians vs. Wheeler Mustangs
Quanah and the Mustangs are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Quanah Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wheeler Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Quanah, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 48-33 loss to the Skyrockets. Quanah has struggled against the Skyrockets recently, as their contest on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Wheeler was able to grind out a solid victory over the Cyclones on Friday, taking the game 60-47. Given Wheeler's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 619th, while the Cyclones are ranked 1321st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Quanah's loss dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Wheeler, their victory bumped their record up to 19-7.
