North Posey came out on top against Mt. Vernon on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Vikings put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 7-1 win. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Remington Johnson made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Johnson was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Colby Angel, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kade Buecher, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

North Posey's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Mt. Vernon, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Coming up, North Posey will face off against Evansville Central at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mt. Vernon, they will take on Tell City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
