Volleyball Recap: Sunny Hills Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Sunny Hills barely beat Rosary Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lancers blew past the Royals 3-0 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Lancers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 26-24, 27-25.

Izzy Kim was nothing short of spectacular: she had 13 digs and four aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Rosary Academy lost, don't look at Savannah Mostero. Despite the final result, she had 18 digs and three assists. Madeline Lambros also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Sunny Hills' win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Rosary Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season.

Sunny Hills didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Woodrow Wilson on the 2nd. As for Rosary Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Canyon on the 28th.
