Softball Recap: Notre Dame (SO) Knights vs. St. Joseph Knights
Notre Dame (SO) picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They put the hurt on St. Joseph with a sharp 7-1 win. Considering Notre Dame (SO) has won four matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Alisha Covarrubias made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Notre Dame (SO) let Keira Luderer and Jackie Morales run wild. Luderer went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI, while Morales scored a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That home run was Luderer's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nadia Ledon, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and one triple.
