After a string of eight wins, Casa Grande's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost to the Marana Tigers on the road by a 68-49 margin. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 88-55 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2022.

Casa Grande's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Marana, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Casa Grande will head out to face off against Sunnyside at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Marana, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Marana Tigers duke it out with the Cienega Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cienega knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 contests -- so hopefully Marana likes a good challenge.
