Soccer Recap: Sunnyslope Comes Up Short

After flying high against Apollo last Tuesday, Sunnyslope came back down to earth. The Sunnyslope Vikings lost 8-0 to the Xavier College Prep Gators on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Gators are ranked fourth).

Sunnyslope now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Xavier College Prep, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Millennium the next time they take the pitch. Sunnyslope will head out to face Millennium at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Xavier College Prep will host them at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th.
