While Stone didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the Columbia Wildcats on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Tomcats, who have now won four matchups in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Stone was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-15, 25-12.

Among those leading the charge was Payton Gonzalez, who had ten digs and four aces.

Gonzalez wasn't the only good server: Stone was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 15 aces in four consecutive games.

Stone's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Columbia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Stone will take on Pascagoula at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Columbia has already played their next contest (against Salem), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
