Football Recap: Corbin's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Friday

The Corbin Redhounds strolled past the North Laurel Jaguars with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 28-14. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Redhounds' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky football rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Jaguars are ranked 48th).

Corbin has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 35.0 points this season. As for North Laurel, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Corbin will face off against Bryan Station at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Laurel, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Madison Central at 7:30 p.m. on September 12.
