Basketball Game Preview: New Lexington Panthers vs. Tri-Valley Scotties

New Lexington hasn't had much luck against Tri-Valley recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Panthers will be home for the holidays to greet the Scotties at 6:00 p.m. Tri-Valley took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on New Lexington, who comes in off a win.

New Lexington took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Philo by a score of 37-26.

New Lexington's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Layla Baker, who posted ten points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Ward, who put up ten points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Tri-Valley was just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 36-35 to Morgan. The contest marked the Scotties' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

New Lexington's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points over those games. As for Tri-Valley, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-2.
