Softball Preview: Seymour Owls vs. Brown County Eagles
The Seymour Owls are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on the Brown County Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It was a Battle of the Birds when Seymour faced off against Lanesville on Saturday. Seymour came out on top against Lanesville by a score of 7-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Owls.

Like Seymour, Brown County also got a great game from a two-way player: Cami Keaton. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over 4.2 innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. Keaton was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Aubree Denton was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
Seymour took their win against Brown County in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 12-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Seymour since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
