Conneaut Area managed to slip by Cochranton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Cardinals on Thursday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Conneaut Area was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 28-26.

Conneaut Area's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5-1. As for Cochranton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-7.

After both having extra time off, Conneaut Area and Saegertown will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cochranton, they will take on Maplewood at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
