Softball Recap: Hickory Takes a Loss

Hickory lost against North Iredell last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hickory came up short against North Iredell, falling 21-1. The matchup marked the Red Tornadoes' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Hickory saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alyssa Wood, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Hickory's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-5. As for North Iredell, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hickory will square off against rival St. Stephens at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, North Iredell is set to challenge their familiar foe North Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
