Volleyball Game Preview: Gatewood Gators vs. Augusta Prep Cavaliers

Gatewood hasn't had much luck against Augusta Prep recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Gators will host the Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Gatewood came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Jasper County, falling 3-0.

While Gatewood was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-15, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Augusta Prep came up short against Alleluia Community on Monday and fell 2-0. The Cavaliers have struggled against the Angels recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-21.

Gatewood's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Augusta Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.
