Softball Game Preview: Union City Indians vs. Union County Patriots

Union City hasn't had much luck against Union County recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Indians will take on the Patriots at 5:30 p.m. Union City has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Union City lost 12-2 to Hagerstown on Tuesday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Union City saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Blankley, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Union County came up short against Winchester Community on Tuesday and fell 10-7.

Union City's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Union County, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-3.

Union City couldn't quite get it done against Union County in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-0. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
