South Johnston had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They didn't even let the Southern Nash Firebirds on the board on Friday, marking the Trojans' second-straight  5-0 shutout. The Trojans are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 23 straight.
Not much got past  Ava Strickland, who gave up just  five  hits to keep Southern Nash off the board. Strickland has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  a single  earned run in four consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Lannah Price, who  went 3-for-4 with three  runs and one  double.  Allison Barbour was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with one  run and one  double.
South Johnston pushed their record up to 23-1 with the  win, which was their tenth straight  on the road. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games.
