Softball Recap: Park Hill Trojans vs. Savannah Savages
Park Hill won the last time they faced Savannah, and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Park Hill Trojans never let the Savannah Savages onto the board and left with a 9-0 victory. Considering the Trojans have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Brooklyn Bertoncino made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Mandia Bock was incredible, going 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Cooper Powell, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
