Basketball Game Preview: Destin Sharks vs. Bay Tornadoes

The Destin Sharks will venture away from home to take on the Bay Tornadoes at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Destin has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 20.

Last Saturday, Destin took a blow against West Florida Baptist Academy, falling 79-38. While losing is never fun, the Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 524th, while the Conquerors are ranked 192nd).

Meanwhile, Bay played a tough game on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 51-23 loss at the hands of West Florida. The Tornadoes just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Bay's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Destin, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.

Destin took a serious blow against Bay in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 58-22. Can Destin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
