Baseball Game Preview: Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials vs. Quakertown Panthers

The Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials will take on the Quakertown Panthers at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Quakertown will be up against a hot Plymouth Whitemarsh squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Colonials came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against North Pocono.

Jake Rauscher looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Plymouth Whitemarsh saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Caucci, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that Caucci has hit this season.

Meanwhile, Quakertown narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Abington 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Galloping Ghosts: they've now won six in a row.

Maccen Probition looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Quakertown is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 3-4 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Gerry Stanziola and Brady Martin did most of the damage at the plate: Stanziola went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Martin went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Those three hits gave Martin a new career-high. Carter Tucholski was another key player, earning one run and two stolen bases.

Quakertown's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Plymouth Whitemarsh, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
