After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Latino College Preparatory Academy, KIPP San Jose Collegiate was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Luis Valdez Leadership Academy Lions. The Wolfpack haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

KIPP San Jose Collegiate got a massive performance out of Gladys Hernandez, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Alicia Espino was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

KIPP San Jose Collegiate was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

KIPP San Jose Collegiate picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-6. As for Luis Valdez Leadership Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-10.
