Recap: Springdale Dynamos vs. Jeannette Jayhawks
If the Springdale Dynamos were feeling good off their 61-31 takedown of the Leechburg Blue Devils last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Springdale took a 63-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jeannette on Tuesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Springdale in their matchups with Jeannette: they've now lost four in a row.
Jeannette's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Markus McGowan, who scored 14 points. Noah Sunder was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Springdale's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Jeannette, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.
Springdale will head out on the road to take on Greensburg Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Greensburg Central Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 contests -- so hopefully Springdale likes a good challenge. As for Jeannette, they will be playing at home against Riverview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jeannette is coming into the matchup with three straight victories at home, meaning Riverview will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
