Volleyball Recap: Hawthorne Takes a Loss

Hawthorne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lawndale Cardinals. The Cougars were not able to make up for their loss to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-9, 26-28, 25-18, 25-20.

Hawthorne's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Lawndale, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

Coming up, Hawthorne will be playing in front of their home fans against Hawthorne Math & Science Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lawndale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
