Basketball Recap: Lake Washington Takes a Loss

Lake Washington entered their contest against Woodinville on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Lake Washington Kangaroos fell to the Woodinville Falcons 57-51. The game marked the Kangaroos' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Kamryn Wille had an outrageously good game for Woodinville as she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. With that strong performance, Wille is now averaging an impressive 8.2 boards per game. Hailey Quiggle was another key player, going 5 of 8 on her way to 15 points and five rebounds.

Lake Washington's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-2. As for Woodinville, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Lake Washington will head out to face off against Issaquah at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Issaquah is on a three-game streak of home wins, Lake Washington a ten-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Woodinville, they will host Bothell/Inglemoor at 6:50 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Woodinville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
