Soccer Recap: West Lafayette Takes a Loss

West Lafayette came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 7-0 to the Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles. While losing is never fun, West Lafayette can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while Guerin Catholic are ranked 13th).

West Lafayette's loss dropped their record down to 6-10-1. As for Guerin Catholic, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. West Lafayette will square off against Western at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Guerin Catholic, they will take on Western Boone at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
