Softball Recap: Cathedral Catholic Takes a Loss

Cathedral Catholic suffered their closest loss since March 1, 2025 on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Del Oro Golden Eagles by a score of 6-4. The Dons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Trinity Lorrain made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Nia Talataina, who went 2-for-4 with one home run.

Cathedral Catholic now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Del Oro, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Cathedral Catholic will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Patrick Henry at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Del Oro, they will venture away from home to challenge Central Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
