Burroughs skates past Sierra Canyon with ease

The Burroughs Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 22 points or more this season. They took their game on the road on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 100-36 victory over Sierra Canyon. That 100-36 margin sets a new team best for Burroughs this season.

Burroughs was led to victory by Chase Kardosh and Jagger Topp. Kardosh scored 15 points along with three steals, while Topp scored nine points along with six assists. The match was Kardosh's 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Samontina, who scored five points.

The win makes it two in a row for Burroughs and bumps their season record up to 9-4. As for Sierra Canyon, their defeat ended an 18-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-2.

Burroughs will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Chatsworth at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Alijah Arenas and Kardosh. Sierra Canyon won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Santa Barbara at 7:00 p.m. on December 28th. Santa Barbara will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
