Recap: Myers Park Mustangs vs. A.C. Reynolds Rockets
The Myers Park Mustangs stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They breezed by A.C. Reynolds on the road to the tune of 75-30. Myers Park is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 13 straight.
It was another big night for Sadiq White Jr., who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last six games he's played. Josh Hines was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
When it comes to explaining why A.C. Reynolds lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ty Johnson. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Myers Park's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points per game. As for A.C. Reynolds, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Myers Park will head out on the road to challenge the Pumas at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Palisades will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Mustangs are ranked second). As for A.C. Reynolds, they will be playing at home against the Jets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
