The Northern Nash Knights will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Richlands Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Northern Nash will be looking to keep their 15-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Northern Nash stacked a eighth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They really took it to Rocky Mount for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-24 win at home. With Northern Nash ahead 38-14 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Northern Nash's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elijay Pitt led the charge by throwing for 99 yards and two touchdowns. Jaquille Arrington was another key contributor, picking up 73 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Richlands can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They breezed by Dixon on the road to the tune of 54-27. Richlands pushed the score to 40-20 by the end of the third, a deficit Dixon had little chance of recovering from.
Northern Nash's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Richlands, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
