While Coronado's victory against Caprock wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Longhorns on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won three matches in a row.

Coronado was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 19-25, 22-25, 25-22, 15-9.

Coronado's win bumped their record up to 21-16. As for Caprock, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Coronado is set to challenge their familiar foe Lubbock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Caprock will square off against rival Plainview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
