Recap: Wahluke Warriors vs. La Salle Lightning
The Wahluke Warriors lost against the La Salle Lightning back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Wahluke was the victim of a rough 28-7 defeat at the hands of La Salle. Wahluke has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading La Salle to victory were Jaiden James and Johan Valladares. James rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, while Valladares rushed for 120 yards on only nine carries. Tyler Do got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Wahluke has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for La Salle, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wahluke will face off against Kiona-Benton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Kiona-Benton is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for La Salle, they will head out on the road to face off against Naches Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Naches Valley is on a three-game streak of home wins, La Salle a six-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
