Tri-Township is 5-0 against Marquette Catholic since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Tri-Township Tigers will look to defend their home court against the Marquette Catholic Blazers at 6:00 p.m. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Jayde Pryor and Laniah Davis.

Last Friday, Tri-Township was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 34-29 to Morgan Township.

Meanwhile, Marquette Catholic had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They breezed by the Eagles to the tune of 65-26. The Blazers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Marquette Catholic's win came from a few key players Tri-Township will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Davis, who went 6 of 14 on her way to 17 points and three steals. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Robinson, who posted nine points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Marquette Catholic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.

Marquette Catholic's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Tri-Township, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

Tri-Township beat Marquette Catholic 53-45 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Will Tri-Township repeat their success, or does Marquette Catholic have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
