Soccer Recap: Willis Comes Up Short

Willis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Conroe Tigers, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Willis can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 575th, while Conroe are ranked 191st).

Willis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for Conroe, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Willis will square off against rival Oak Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Conroe is set to face off against their familiar foe Caney Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
