Volleyball Recap: Rock Bridge Bruins vs. Helias Crusaders
Rock Bridge was the 3-2 winner over Helias when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bruins took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders on Tuesday. While the Bruins didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Crusaders 25-21 in the first set.
Rock Bridge started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-13, 28-26, 25-16.
Maeve Rush paced Rock Bridge's offense, picking up 11 kills. Rush got some help from Emery Allen and her 33 assists. Allen was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
Helias had a senior duo take command as Liza Boyer had 16 digs and three assists and Sophie Verslues had 15 digs.
